SEG Qualifying for EG Seniors’ County Finals
The South East Group qualifier for the EG Senior Men’s County Finals was held at Chelmsford Golf Club on 16th & 17th July 2025.
The course was presented in very good condition and the weather was kind on both days – if a little windy on the first day.
The championship is played by teams of six players with the best five scores from each round making up the team score. After the first round, BB&O had a one stroke lead over Suffolk, with Sussex a further stroke behind. Sussex managed to produce the best score on the second day and ran out overall winners beating BB&O by 5 strokes. Sussex will go on to the national final at Harrogate Golf Club in October.
The best individual score was 137 (67 & 70) by Justin Rhodes of BB&O.
